Daniel Candeias last just the first-half before he was substituted off against Kilmarnock – and some of the Rangers fans on Twitter were fed up with the attacker for his display.

The 31-year-old winger offered very little going forward and manager Steven Gerrard took him off at half-time to bring on Eros Grezda.

Rangers could only manage a 1-1 draw at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership fixture, which means they are seen points behind leaders Celtic having played a game more.

Alfredo Morelos scored his 29th goals of the season across all competitions in the second-half to cancel out a goal from Kilmarnock’s Conor McAleny.

There is now an international break for the Light Blues and when they return to action on 31 March it’s away to Old Firm rivals Celtic.

Candeias is an ever-present in the team usually on the right wing, but he was lacking attacking ideas against Kilmarnock and the same could be said for many of his teammates.

The Portuguese wide man did score against Hibernian in the previous league match, but that has been his only goal in 2019 so far and there is too much reliance on Morelos.

Here are some of the Rangers fans that were fuming with Candeias:
