Rangers fans praise Ryan Jack after Europa League qualification

Rangers qualified for the knockout rounds of the Europa League by drawing 1-1 at home to Young Boys on Thursday night – and some of the club’s supporters picked out midfielder Ryan Jack for his display.

Steven Gerrard’s team have finished runners-up in their Europa League group and will be unseeded in next Monday’s draw for the Round of 32.

The Light Blues had to avoid defeat at Ibrox on Thursday to qualify and striker Alfredo Morelos gave the hosts a deserved first-half advantage with his goal.

But Swiss outfit Young Boys responded with a much improved second-half display and defender Borna Barisic was unfortunate to net an own goal late on.

Rangers had to survive a neverous stoppage time and midfielder Jack was shown a second yellow card in the 93rd minute for a tactical foul to stop a counter attack.
