Rangers are being linked with Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have responded by insisting they don’t want to see him end up at Ibrox.
According to TEAMtalk, Rangers are joined by Old Firm rivals Celtic in showing an interest in the 27-year-old and are looking into the possibility of signing him.
The report explains that the attacker is expected to ask to leave United in January due to the fact his contract expires in the summer, but the English giants have the option still to extend his deal by a further year.
Lingard is a player that has come right through the academy and played 200+ games for them at senior level, but is massively struggling right now for opportunities.
His only minutes so far this season have come in the Carabao Cup, meaning he’s yet to play in the Premier League since the end of the last campaign back in July.

A selection of Rangers supporters on social media are convinced that Lingard would be a poor addition to their squad, as they feel he lacks the quality and some suggested if he would be able to break into their side.
Steven Gerrard’s men are looking the real deal both domestically and in Europe so far this season. It would surely take quite a big financial sum to bring the United attacker to Scotland, which is a risk surely not worth taking considering his form has been non-existent in recent years.
