Rangers fans love what Gio van Bronckhorst has just said in his press conference
Giovanni van Bronckhorst has told his Wednesday press conference that he will be making some changes to his Rangers side – and Gers fans are excited.
Rangers are preparing not only for van Bronckhorst’s first game as Rangers manager, but also a crucial Europa League tie against Sparta Prague.
The Gers sit in second place in their group in the Europa League, with Lyon already qualified. The French side have won four of their four games.
Rangers and Sparta Prague are both on four points, and the winner of Thursday’s clash at Ibrox will surely qualify for the knockout stages.
The Gers have been poor this season, far below their 20-21 form. Clocking up 24 games, they have already lost six – including Sunday’s semi-final.
Rangers fans are calling for change to the line-up, ahead of Thursday’s outing. Van Bronckhorst has said he will implement that, against Sparta.
“You will see a team tomorrow in a system I like to play and how I feel is best to play against Prague. You will definitely see some changes.”
What are Rangers fans saying about van Bronckhorst’s latest comments?
Of the players that normally start, there are numerous examples of some out of form. Connor Goldson is probably the most startling example.
However, Rangers lack options at centre-back. James Tavernier and Borna Barisic are far from their best, while Alfredo Morelos is struggling for goals.
Van Bronckhorst is expected to keep Gerrard’s 4-3-3 system – a formation renowned to be the Dutch way of playing. But personnel could be different.
Rangers fans have reacted on Twitter to comments made by van Bronckhorst and many are incredibly excited at his first line-up.
