Rangers fans love what £15m star did on Monday night
Che Adams netted his fourth goal for Scotland on Monday night during a 2-0 win over Denmark – and Rangers fans have praised the striker on Twitter.
Although Scotland had already secured a World Cup play-off place, and were unable to catch Denmark – they surprised many, winning 2-0.
Liam Cooper’s header back across goal from a corner, saw John Souttar head Scotland into the lead at Hampden Park. Adams made it two.
With Scotland having missed a hatful of chances previously – Adams having one saved by Kasper Schmeichel from about eight yards out.
Adams was then played through on goal, and around 16 yards out – Southampton’s £15million (Eurosport) striker curled an effort into the net.
It was a brilliant performance from Adams, but Scotland as a whole, too. The striker has clocked up 13 caps for Scotland now.
In that time, he has netted four goals – but his form up top is so much more than just scoring. It is his work rate, running the channels and hold-up play.
What are Rangers fans saying about Southampton star Adams?
Choosing to play for Scotland, the Leicester-born striker is finally starting to gain some momentum after a poor start to the season for the Saints.
He scored a winner against Watford with Southampton now picking up three wins in four games. That form has continued in a Scotland shirt.
Rangers fans applauded the Southampton star for his display on Monday night, with many being won over by the £30,000-a-week star (Spotrac).
