Rangers fans love latest comments from manager Steven Gerrard

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has commented on his side edging closer to the league title – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter love his response.

The Gers are now within four points of winning the Scottish Premiership title.

It’s been a stunning domestic campaign so far by the Ibrox outfit, who have 27 wins and four draws from their 31 league matches.

They have conceded just nine goals in their unbeaten league season right now and there is the possibility that they could still clinch the title against bitter rivals Celtic.

Gerrard was asked in his Friday press conference about what looks like an imminent title success for Rangers and responded with real enthusiasm:

A selection of Rangers supporters on social media love the passion shown by Gerrard with his comments today and have lavished him with his praise.

It’s easy to forget this is the Liverpool legend’s first job in management and it’s been a perfect one.

During his time in charge Rangers have gone from miles behind Celtic to well clear of them, which is why everyone associated with the club will be desperate for him to have a long-term future with them.

It seems only a matter of time before it becomes official and they win the league crown.
