Robby McCrorie helped Livingston secure a point against Scottish champions Celtic on Wednesday night in the snow at the Tony Macaroni Stadium – and Rangers fans have heaped praise on their on-loan goalkeeper.
McCrorie, 22, joined Livingston in the summer on a season-long loan as he continues to show Steven Gerrard why he deserves a place in the Rangers side. He started off as first choice at Livingston, but has since dropped to the bench.
Max Stryjek kept a clean sheet against Celtic on the weekend, but the Polish stopper was absent for the second successive clash against Neil Lennon’s struggling side. McCrorie came in, playing his first league game since October.

Goals from Nir Bitton and Mo Elyounoussi came in between Livingston efforts from Ciaran Brown and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas – but Scotland Under-21 man McCrorie had little chance to stop Celtic from scoring twice.
But he made up for that error with a number of excellent saves, denying the likes of Elyounoussi, Kris Ajer and Leigh Griffiths and numerous other Celtic players. McCrorie has a contract at Rangers until the summer of 2023.
It remains to be seen how high up the pecking order he would be when he returns to Rangers, with Allan McGregor contract talks expected to get underway. Rangers supporters have responded on Twitter to his display against Celtic.
