Rangers continued their pre-season with a game against French top-flight club Nice on Saturday evening – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter were particularly impressed with the display of their midfielder Joe Aribo.
Steven Gerrard’s side followed up their 2-0 victory over Lyon by beating Nice by the same scoreline.
Veteran forward Jermain Defoe put the Scottish giants in front in the 40th minute with a left-footed shot inside the box.
Jamie Barjonas then scored a late 90th minute goal for the Gers to earn the win and it’s been a successful visit to France by picking up two victories in the friendly matches.
A selection of Rangers fans on social media singled out Aribo as someone that made a big difference in the fixture against Nice and they are expecting big things from him when the 2020/21 season comes around.
The 23-year-old started the contest before being substituted off in the 79th minute and looked the part in the centre of the park on the ball, as well as showing some touch-tackling too.
He showed last season he can make a big difference with nine goals and eight assists across all competitions, but his prime years should still be ahead of him and he could have a big role at Ibrox.
Here are some Rangers fans discussing Aribo’s performance:
Absolutely love watching Joe Aribo play the guy is just class on the ball

Side note – Joe Aribo has been very sharp in keeping it in tight areas, winning it back multiple times, final third passes.
Could have a big season.
