Alfredo Morelos helped inspire Rangers to a 4-2 win over FC Midtjylland in Europe on Thursday night – and some of the club’s supporters were amazed by his performance.

The Gers secured an away victory in the first leg of a Europa League third round qualifier against the Danish side.

They continued on their path towards the group stages with another win in Europe and are in pole position ahead of next week’s second leg at Ibrox against Midtjylland.

Steven Gerrard’s team were deadly going forward and had four different goalscorers with Morelos, Joe Aribo, Nikola Katic and Scott Arfield chipping in.

Morelos got the ball rolling with a downwards header from a James Tavernier cross, which means he now has five goals in five European games this campaign.

The centre-forward also lead the line superbly with an immense work-rate and hunger, while bring teammates into play.

He supplied two assists on the night and is so influential in the final third for the Scottish champions.

The 23-year-old Colombian has had his issues with discipline with the Light Blues, but there is no doubting he’s a natural goalscorer and a potent striker.
