Scott Wright made his Old Firm derby debut for Rangers on Sunday afternoon as the Gers held onto their unbeaten Scottish Premiership run – and Gers fans have reacted on Twitter to his cameo role against Celtic.

Wright, 23, joined Rangers in the January window from Aberdeen having initially signed a pre-contract agreement. Rangers chose to then make the signing immediate, and he has since made seven appearances for the Gers.

Rangers kept ahold of their unbeaten run of form despite going behind to John Kennedy’s side. Mo Elyounoussi gave Celtic the lead with an excellent header from Odsonne Edouard’s cross, before Alfredo Morelos equalised.

Celtic certainly dominated the match and created the most chances, but Allan McGregor was excellent between the sticks – making a number of decent saves to deny Edouard, Ryan Christie, Jonjoe Kenny and more.

Wright entered the fray with 13 minutes to play and showed some nice touches, as Rangers secured a point – which means they are now just six games away from completing an invincible campaign, something Celtic did in 2016-17.

Rangers fans reacted on Twitter to Wright’s late appearance for Steven Gerrard’s side and many were impressed with his efforts – predicting the January addition to have a big future at Ibrox under the guidance of the current boss.
