Rangers fans critical of Ryan Kent after performance against Hibernian

Rangers managed to produce a comeback victory to beat Hibernian in midweek – but some of the club’s supporters on Twitter were not happy with the performance of their attacker Ryan Kent.

Steven Gerrard’s side managed to record a 2-1 home win at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership fixture, but went behind to a Paul Hanlon goal in the 35th minute.

Gers defender George Edmundson equalised just before half-time and Ianis Hagi marked his first start for the Scottish giants with a goal on the half-volley late on to wrap up three more points.

It means that they stay second in the table seven points adrift of leaders Celtic and have played a game less than them.

They now turn their attention to a trip to Hamilton at the weekend in the Scottish Cup fifth round, before they travel to Kilmarnock in their next league meeting.

A selection of Rangers supporters on social media singled out Kent for major criticism despite the midweek victory.

The 23-year-old attacker is an ever-present in Gerrard’s team and he once again started against Hibs before being substituted off late on.

He’s a left-winger with plenty of pace and trickery, but he was majorly lacking creativity and it was new teammate Hagi that looked far more threatening throughout the contest.
