Rangers are on the brink of the league title after their win on Saturday afternoon – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter were amazed by the performance of Ianis Hagi for them.

The Gers swept St Mirren aside 3-0 at Ibrox to move them within a point of the Scottish Premiership title.

They will be crowned champions tomorrow if Celtic fail to beat Dundee United.

Alternatively, they could get the opportunity to take the crown away from Celtic when they visit them later in March for a league match at Parkhead.

It was another convincing win by Steven Gerrard’s team, who have been too good domestically and kept another clean sheet.

Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos were both on the scoresheet in the first half within the space of three minutes.

Hagi added a third in the second period to finish off a great counter-attacking goal, as he fired in a composed left-footed finish.

The 22-year-old attacker did a great job on his return to the starting XI and has been part of a group of attackers that Gerrard has managed to rely on during various parts of the season.

He’s now managed seven goals and 11 assists in 36 games across all competitions this campaign.

Here are some Rangers fans on Hagi:
