Rangers fans blown away by Borna Barisic performance in St Johnstone win

Rangers continued their 100 per cent winning start to the new league season by beating St Johnstone on Wednesday night – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter picked out Borna Barisic for his impressive individual performance.

Steven Gerrard’s team now have three victories from three in the Scottish Premiership, as they dispatched of St Johnstone 3-0 at Ibrox in midweek.

The Light Blues regained top spot in the league table and have scored seven goals so far, but more notably have kept three clean sheets to highlight the defensive improvement.

Barisic broke the deadlock in the 21st minute with his memorable left-footed free-kick and was an attacking threat all match.

The left-back turned provider for the second goal on the stroke of half-time by setting up Ryan Kent, while Joe Aribo wrapped up three points in the second-half with his header.

A selection of Gers supporters on social media were left in awe of Barisic for his latest match-winning contribution and gave him massive praise.

The 27-year-old is showing in the early stages of the campaign that he can impact his side in all areas of the park and there is definitely improvement in his game.

He is a Croatia international that has managed to become a firm fan favourite in recent times due to his consistent displays and he must be one of the first names on Gerrard’s team sheet as it stands.
