Rangers signed defender Connor Goldson for £3million (Sky Sports) from Brighton in the summer and he was part of a huge squad overhaul at Ibrox.
The centre-back made the move to Scottish football and has nailed down a regular spot in Steven Gerrard’s side.
He’s now racked up 50 appearances across all competitions for the Light Blues in a busy first season and overall impressed.
The no-nonsense enforcer is certainly a leader in the backline that puts his body on the line, while he’s been the one ever-present alongside either Nikola Katic or Joe Worrall at centre-back.
Goldson is certainly more than capable in possession too and he looks worn the £3million investment.
The 26-year-old surely has the potential to be even better next year, as he’s now had a strong first year adjusting to Scotland and has settled with the Gers.

He made just 16 senior appearances for Brighton during the two previous seasons, but now has a full campaign under his belt and looks extremely fit.
There have been occasional blips in form that are natural over a season, but he’s a monster in most defensive positions and one of the most dependable under Gerrard.
Rangers do have a core group of players that should improve if they stick together another year next season and Goldson should be right at the heart of it.
