European club Eintracht Frankfurt are reportedly weighing up an opening bid for Rangers centre-forward Alfredo Morelos.
According to the Daily Record, the German outfit sent representatives to watch him recently in a Europa League qualifier and also checked on him several times last season.
It is understood that Frankfurt are impressed by the 23-year-old and are preparing a deal to try sign him.
The report explains that Steven Gerrard’s side would want close to £20million for the striker, but Frankfurt have cash to spend after selling Luka Jovic and Sebastien Haller for over £100million this summer.
Morelos has been heavily linked with a move away from Ibrox ever since he started scoring goals and he has 52 in 93 games for the Scottish club.
The Colombian has netted four times in the two competitive games this season and is a goal machine.
Morelos is a huge character that has so much controversy around him, but there is no doubting his ability in front of goal and he would leave a big void if he left Ibrox.
Rangers do have veteran striker Jermain Defoe too in their ranks, but they would need to sign a new attacker if the South American departs.
Morelos certainly looks destined to play at a higher level and Frankfurt are an attractive outfit, but it’s unclear yet on if the German side will be willing to agree a deal close to what Rangers will demand.
