The Daily Mail is reporting that Rangers have joined the race for highly-rated youngster Luca Connell. The Glasgow club are reported to have joined a heap of teams, including Norwich and Southampton, attempting to sign the youngster this summer.
The likes of Tottenham and Leeds United have also been mentioned by The Sun, but Rangers will undoubtedly consider themselves a genuine option for the teenager.

Rangers could be the perfect location for the 18-year-old. Steven Gerrard is, of course, a fantastic role model and Connell could learn plenty from the Liverpool legend.

If not the first-team right away, Graeme Murty has worked wonders with young players at Norwich City and the current crop of Rangers talents are looking fairly impressive as well. That should give him hope of successful development at Ibrox.
Considering holding midfield is his most regular position at present, he would struggle for regular game time considering the strength in depth Rangers have in that role.
However, he could fit into the current team in his other favoured position. Left-back is something of a problem area at Ibrox so Rangers could also offer him regular first-team opportunities in that position.
Rangers would be getting their hands on a talented, versatile and impressive young man in Connell. The 18-year-old should seriously consider any approach from Ibrox.
