St Mirren chief executive Tony Fitzpatrick has suggested to the Scottish Sun that both Celtic and Rangers will be considering moves for goalkeeper Vaclav Hladky.
The Buddies bigwig has lumped praise on the man who saved three of Dundee United’s four penalties in last weekend’s play-off game.
Fitzpatrick has stated that Hladky won’t be leaving on the cheap. He claims that a decent six-figure sum would be required to sign the 28-year-old.
The Czech stopper played 30 games for St Mirren this season and the chief is expecting to receive some calls.

He told the Scottish Sun: “There are teams from Russia and other countries already interested in signing Vaclav and I’m not surprised because he’s top quality.
“He’s capable of playing at a level much higher than the Scottish Premiership. I would think Celtic and Rangers must be looking at him and thinking he could do a job for them.”
Fitzpatrick isn’t really in the mood for selling one of his star players if he doesn’t have to.
He continued: “We want to keep him. The boy loves it here.
“He’s got a year left on his contract, so we want to keep him and possibly extend his contract if we can.”
TBR Verdict
Fitzpatrick might be making out that he wants to keep his goalkeeper but he is clearly trying to entice the big spending Celtic and Rangers into a move.

It seems unlikely that a goalkeeper who is 28 and has kept just one clean sheet in the league all season will be on the Old Firm’s radar.
Hladky might be a decent stopper for St Mirren but that doesn’t mean he is going to prove decent business for either Celtic or Rangers.
