Rangers have bolstered their squad with the signing of Manchester City winger Brandon Barker, according to club’s official website.

The 22-year-old spent last season on loan with Preston North End, playing 20 games and contributing to four goals.

He has also spent time on loan with Hibernian and NAC Breda but now makes a permanent switch to Ibrox.

Following his arrival at the Glaswegian giants, he tweeted his delight at such a big move coming to fruition:

Rangers have made a promising start to the 2019/20 campaign both domestically and in Europe.

They defeated Kilmarnock on the opening weekend of the season, before securing a stunning 4-2 win over Midtjylland in the Europa League last night.

Gerrard has built an energetic squad and Barker will surely add to his quota of exciting young talent.

The youngster plays mainly on the left flank but can also operate on the right and looks like a decent sort of player for the Scottish Premiership.

The majority are relishing seeing Barker in action and were quick to welcome him on social media.
