Rangers boss Steven Gerrard says there is ‘nothing in’ talks of a potential deal between the Gers and Chelsea for midfielder, Billy Gilmour.
The Gers have been linked with a move for the Chelsea youngster over the past week or so. Gilmour, 19, is highly thought of at Stamford Bridge but is seeing playing time limited this season.

Rangers, then, had been credited with an interest in the Scotland under-21 starlet as Steven Gerrard continues to lead his team towards a long overdue SPFL title.
However, speaking today, Gerrard has dismissed any talk of Gilmour signing, saying the player looks settled in London.
“He’s a fabulous little player but there has been no contact between the clubs or the managers. I know Frank extremely well and I know his coaching staff extremely well. I think that’s just people putting two and two together and looking for stories,” Gerrard said. (Daily Record)
“There is nothing in it from our side but what I will say is that he is a fabulous little player and we wish him well.”

Gerrard’s comments will, for now, put to bed any talk of a move for Gilmour but this could rumble on into the new year, especially if Chelsea do fancy a loan for their man.
Would Gilmour play, that is the problem – TBR View
Rangers are doing so well that if Gilmour did sign, there’d be question marks over whether he’d actually get the minutes he’d be looking for.
Yes, he’d be learning under Gerrard and likely get more opportunities than he will at Chelsea, but he’d still be in the same situation.
However, it could still happen, even if Gerrard is playing down the links this morning.
