Rangers boss Steven Gerrard will look to finally end Celtic’s dominance next season. His maiden campaign in management will come to a close without silverware and he will look to change that next season.

In order to finally oust the Hoops as the kings of Scottish football, Gerrard will need to attract some quality during the summer. His squad is already boasting some good players, but a couple of star players wouldn’t go amiss.

Alfredo Morelos could depart in the summer with Marseille showing a keen interest in the Colombian, according to the Scottish Sun.

That particular departure will leave the Gers needing some attacking reinforcements. With Jermain Defoe already confirmed for next season, it might be something a bit different to an out-and-out striker that Gerrard looks for.

Versatile attacker Bojan could be the perfect summer signing for the Rangers boss to consider. The Stoke Sentinel is reporting that the Stoke City attacker has been told not to be discouraged from looking for another club.

The 28-year-old has lost his way at the Championship club this season, scoring just once in 21 games for the club. He has started just eight games and his contract will run out next summer.

Boss Nathan Jones will be keen to do his own business this summer and the chance to get Bojan off the wage bill would be a blessing. For Gerrard, his arrival could be a massive boost to his squad.

The majestic former Barcelona man boasts superb creative attributes and is gifted at unlocking defences. Playing him just behind Defoe would make Rangers the envy of their Glaswegian neighbours.

At this stage, a move isn’t even being speculated. If Gerrard is keen to land a creative spark for the final third, however, he should look no further than Bojan.
