Rangers are reportedly in pole position to sign Liverpool centre-forward Dominic Solanke on loan in the January transfer window, which would be an excellent deal for the Scottish giants.
According to talkSPORT, the Gers look set to beat Premier League outfit Crystal Palace to the loan signature of the 21-year-old.
The report details that the England Under-21 international is primed to move to Ibrox and replace Umar Sadiq, who is tipped to return to parent club Roma after an unsuccessful loan.
Solanke is yet to earn a senior appearance for Liverpool this campaign, but that is no reflection of his quality and he needs first-team football to unleash his true qualities.
He is a powerful striker that proved himself with four goals during the international break for the young lions in two games and Steven Gerrard’s side could be the perfect platform for him to develop.

Rangers already have in-form Alfredo Morelos as their main striker and he has 15 goals across all competitions this term, but pairing him alongside Solanke could be lethal.
They could operate as a little and large combination, with both more than capable of finding the back of the net frequently and they would rip apart most Scottish top-flight defences.
Gerrard certainly needs a plan B in attack for the second half of the season and highly-rated Solanke ticks all the boxes, while Morelos could benefit from playing off him.
