Rangers assistant manager Gary McAllister has lavished praised on midfielder Steve Davis, and believes he is playing the best football of his career.
Davis joined Rangers for a second stint on loan from Southamton in January, and made the move permanent in the early summer.

The 34-year-old has proven to be an extremely classy addition for Steven Gerrard, and McAllister is expecting the ace to play a big role in the upcoming Europa League tie against Legia Warsaw.
He said (quoted by The Scottish Sun): “It is the control that he gives us. Steven is generally there to do that. He is a very brave player. He receives the ball under pressure. He is streetwise.
“I don’t know if I have seen him play better. I didn’t see a great deal of him first time round here, but some of the football he is playing now is really good.

“Steven is just on top of his game at the moment.”
McAllister praised the Northern Ireland international’s ability to make interceptions, snap into tackles and make runs from deep.
TBR’s view
Davis has been wonderful for Rangers since arriving at Ibrox.

The star, picked up on a free, is the experienced head that could see Rangers run Celtic much closer for the league title this year.
Rangers have a young team and his influence is clear to see, and on Thursday against Legia the Light Blues will again be hoping his invaluable experience and maturity comes in clutch.
