Rangers boast the best player in Scotland, according to former Light Blues defender Russell Martin.
The 33-year-old spent six months on loan at Ibrox last season in what was a very underwhelming spell.

But it was enough time though for him to conclude that Rangers currently have the best of the best.
Overlooking 30-goal Alfredo Morelos, Martin hailed full-back James Tavernier.
He told The Daily Record: “I believe Rangers have the best player in Scotland in the shape of James. What he does in terms of a right-back is incredible.
“He drives the team forward by what he does, scoring goals and leading by example.

“He’s not an old-school captain in terms of ranting and raving but there are guys who lead by character and others who lead by example.
“Tav steps up during times of adversity and has got better season after season.”
TBR’s view
Tavernier’s credentials for the Rangers captaincy have previously been questioned, but he has definitely grown into the role.
The Englishman scored 17 goals and laid on 20 assists for teammates in 2018/19 – a remarkable return for a right-back.
He is the club’s penalty taker and most of his strikes have come from the spot, but his assist tally is undeniably impressive.

Tavernier very much leads by example through his quality on the pitch, and fans will be hoping he doesn’t leave this summer.
The 27-year-old has been long been linked with a move to West Bromwich Albion, with the Birmingham Mail recently reporting he is still a target for the Baggies this summer.
