Aaron Ramsdale was asked by ESPN in an episode of You Have To Answer whether he would rather win the Premier League with Arsenal or the World Cup with England.
It has the potential to be an incredibly special season for Ramsdale. Of course, the goalkeeper is part of the 26-man England squad currently in Qatar ahead of their World Cup campaign.

Meanwhile, back home, Mikel Arteta’s men will be looking to pick up where they left off when the Premier League season resumes.
Ramsdale would rather win World Cup
Arsenal currently sit of the table. They extended their lead at the top to five points over the final weekend before the World Cup break.

So you can understand why Ramsdale was asked whether he would rather win the World Cup or Premier League in an interview which included questions such as Thierry Henry or Ian Wright, and Sheffield Wednesday or Tottenham. It should be said that he refused to answer the latter.
But he did answer the question about the World Cup or Premier League. And it may not have been the response some Arsenal fans would have hoped for. The goalkeeper opted for glory with England.
In fairness, Ramsdale was in a tricky position. While the interview appears to have been conducted before the tournament, he would have known that the World Cup is just around the corner.
He will also have fewer opportunities to win that trophy. So perhaps, that came into his thinking.
Ramsdale is a brilliant character. So no-one will be able to question how much Arsenal winning the Premier League would mean to him.
It would be a remarkable achievement if he can win either over the coming months. But perhaps he will have the opportunity this time next year to answer which trophy actually meant more to him.
