Rafael van der Vaart posts on Twitter ahead of Tottenham-Arsenal clash

Rafael van der Vaart has posted a cheeky Tweet in the direction of Arsenal as Tottenham Hotspur and the Gunners prepare to do battle on Saturday afternoon.

Spurs are in the perilous position of having next-to-no momentum and sitting in third place – nine points behind leaders Liverpool and eight behind Liverpool.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side come into the match after losing to Burnley and Chelsea in the league. Meanwhile, Arsenal have won their last three matches against BATE, Bournemouth and Southampton, scoring 10 goals.

Former Tottenham star van der Vaart sent a rallying call to his former side, urging them to score against your rivals and celebrate like they mean it. He also posted a video of himself doing it.

TBR’s view

Tottenham come into the match in a very dangerous position. With less than a third of the season remaining, a win will see them open up a gap that is likely to keep them in the top three.

But a defeat to Unai Emery’s side will hurt Spurs – both on and off the pitch. Losing to Arsenal will see the gap between the two sides close to just one point. Pochettino cannot let that happen.
