Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked with a move to sign Radu Dragusin, and his agent has now shared what Spurs asked him in a transfer meeting.

Spurs look like they mean business in this month’s transfer window. They want to bring in a new centre-back as quickly as possible, and Dragusin seems like Tottenham‘s top target now.

Tottenham have been locked in talks to sign Radu Dragusin over the last few days.

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the Romanian defender has already agreed personal terms with Spurs, and all that’s left is for the two clubs to sort out a deal.

Tottenham have had an eye on Dragusin for quite some time now. The defender’s agent, Florin Manea, has now revealed that he has spoken to Spurs, and the North Londoners only had one question to ask him during their meeting.

He says that Ange Postecoglou‘s side knew all about Dragusin’s technical abilities – they just wanted to enquire about his character.

Manea told TV Play: “The future? Ever since I did this job I have never met a guy like him. He doesn’t care about money, he wants to make a great career. Napoli did not contact me. He is not convinced of leaving Genoa mid-season.

“In my opinion, he is perfect for playing in England, his dream is to get to the Premier (League).

“We have not seen any offer from Tottenham: if they then agree with Genoa, I am ready to listen to them. In the only meeting I had with Tottenham, they only asked me about the boy’s character, because from a technical point of view, they already knew everything.”

Dragusin would be a great signing for Tottenham

Tottenham’s first-choice central defensive pairing of Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven is up there with the best in the Premier League.

However, both of them are currently injured, which has forced Ange Postecoglou to deploy two full-backs – Emerson Royal and Ben Davies – in central defence.

Radu Dragusin, still only 21, is a fantastic player. He has been really impressive in the Serie A, and he can easily fill in for Romero or Van de Ven whenever required.

It will be interesting to see how much Tottenham will end up paying for Dragusin this month if this move does go through.
