‘Quality’, ‘Talent’ – Aston Villa fans excited by Callum O’Hare’s reported contract extension

According to The Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa have tied young midfielder Callum O’Hare down to a new contract.

O’Hare has penned a new deal to keep him at Villa Park until summer 2020, according to this report, and fans are praising this decision.

The youngster is following in the footsteps of Jack Grealish; a fellow Solihull-born attacking midfielder who came through the ranks at Aston Villa.

He is currently on loan at League Two side Carlisle United, where he is gaining valuable first-team experience.

In 12 games, the 20-year-old has scored twice and provided two assists to add to his burgeoning reputation.

Carlisle manager Steven Pressley has praised O’Hare. He recently told the club’s official website: “He’s a credit to himself and the club, not just because of his performances on a Saturday, but also his attitude on the training ground and around the place.

“There’s nothing big time about him, and he’s everything you could want in a loan player. We’re really pleased to have him here, and I’d like to have him back next season if it was possible.

“If that isn’t the case, it’s only down to him being a real success story during his time here.”
