QPR fans react as club linked with move for Aston Villa star

Mark Warburton is reportedly keen to form a reunion at Queens Park Rangers with Aston Villa striker Scott Hogan this summer – and QPR fans have reacted on Twitter by urging their club to land the Irishman.

West London Sport have claimed 27-year-old striker Hogan is a target for QPR this summer, with the Villa striker surplus to requirements at Villa Park following the Midlands club’s promotion to the Premier League.

Hogan went on loan to Sheffield United last season during the second half of the season and scored two crucial goals in eight appearances for Chris Wilder’s side. But the chances of that loan becoming permanent look unlikely.

The striker, who joined Villa from Brentford where he worked under Warburton for a fee of £12million (West London Sport), has only managed 10 goals in 61 appearances for the Midlands club.

However, a long-term knee injury prevented Hogan from developing any kind of momentum at Villa Park. Now, he is expected to return to the Championship with Warburton keen and the striker himself desperate to leave.

QPR fans have reacted on Twitter to the news that the Aston Villa ace could be on his way to Loftus Road this season, and the majority are desperate to see the three-time Ireland cap move to London.
