One of Tottenham Hotspur’s loanees Luke Amos was in action last night as his loan club QPR lost to Swansea City 3-1.

It was his fifth appearance for his new club but it was also his shortest yet. Amos suffered an injury early on in the game and had to leave the field.

This would undoubtedly concern Tottenham fans familiar with the player’s recent history.

The midfielder spent the majority of last season out of action after a serious knee injury. So hearing he had to come off last night, and with reports doing the rounds he was holding his knee, would have caused plenty of concern.

However, as reported by West London Sport, QPR boss Mark Warburton has confirmed a hamstring injury was the reason for his premature exit from the game.

Regardless of his injury, it certainly appears that the jury is still out on Tottenham’s adaptable young talents.

Several QPR fans reacted to Amos’ latest display with some unsure he has what it takes to cut it at Championship level. Others, however, feel he has a controlling influence on games and that Tottenham could have a gem on their hands.
