Tottenham Hotspur defender Cristian Romero has praised Spurs teammate Richarlison, in conversation with Sky Sports.

The north Londoners signed the Brazil international in a reported £60million deal at the start of July.

Tottenham boss Antonio Conte initially used Richarlison off the bench.

However, the 25-year-old has quickly worked his way into starting contention.

Richarlison has made seven appearances in all competitions so far, registering two goals and two assists.

Last season, Romero and Richarlison clashed when the latter was still playing for Everton.

That’s firmly behind them now, and the Tottenham centre-back is now singing the summer signing’s praises.

“He has brought a lot to the team,” Romero told Sky Sports.

“He’s a player who is a little bit different to the ones we already had.

“He’s a player who puts in absolutely everything, all the time.

“We have Harry Kane, who, for me, is a maximum talent and one of the best strikers in the world.

“We also have [Heung-Min] Son and [Dejan] Kulusevski, who also make the difference.

“But Richy is giving us different things and that’s something which I think is infectious.”

Richarlison has quickly won over the Tottenham staff and fans with his incredible work ethic.

Conte has always demanded that from every single one of his players.

And to see Richarlison work that way every day in training as well as in games must be really pleasing.

It’s a great selection headache for Conte, who also has the superb Kulusevski and the world-class Kane and Son at his disposal.
