West Ham need to make some signings this summer after a dismal 2024/25 campaign.

Struggles under both Julen Lopetegui and Graham Potter have left the Hammers sitting 17th in the Premier League – picking up just nine wins from 33 outings while suffering 15 defeats.

After a summer transfer window in which roughly £150m was spent on new recruits, West Ham fans have every right to feel disappointed.

As such, money must be spent more wisely this summer, and the Irons are now plotting a move to sign Youssef En-Nesyri from Fenerbahce after he asked to leave.

West Ham in the bidding to sign Youssef En-Nesyri

A story from Vamos Mi Sevilla now states that the Morocco international has requested to leave Fenerbahce.

It is said that En-Nesyri is starting to feel uncomfortable under Jose Mourinho after a run of seven games without a goal in all competitions, which has cost him a place in the starting XI.

The Fenerbahce No.19 was previously enjoying a strong season until this recent slump, scoring 26 goals and providing six assists in 46 appearances, but is now eager to leave after losing his place in the team.

Vamos Mi Sevilla claim that West Ham are one of the main bidders for En-Nesyri, who has been called a “pure goalscorer”, in a deal worth €35m (£30m).

However, Al-Nassr are also keen to sign the 27-year-old, where he would join Cristiano Ronaldo and Jhon Duran in the attack.

Youssef En-Nesyri is a long-term target for West Ham

The east Londoners have wanted to sign the Moroccan striker for a very long time.

A story from The Athletic claimed back in January 2021 that West Ham bid for En-Nesyri as a replacement for Sebastien Haller, after the Ivorian moved to Ajax, offering £27m in total for the striker.

However, Sevilla held firm and managed to keep the Fes-born attacker.

Now – however – West Ham could finally land the African forward, after he asked Fenerbahce for a summer move away from Turkey.
