Tottenham have been absolutely brilliant in the Premier League so far this season, but there’s still one player who hasn’t quite hit the heights expected of him.
Indeed, Richarlison still isn’t living up to that £60m pricetag as he continues to falter in front of goal for Tottenham.
Speaking on The Game Football Podcast, Gregor Robertson has been discussing Richarlison’s spot in the Spurs team, and the pundit believes that Richarlison will have to do something quite special quite soon if he wants to keep his spot as Brennan Johnson is breathing down his neck.

Richarlison has to act now
Robertson shared his verdict on the attacker.
“The only question mark is that Brennan Johnson will get into that starting XI soon, and I think Richarlison needs to do something. There’s more competition, there’s no European football, they’re out of the first cup and they’d probably be happy to go out of the second cup if they keep up this form,” Robertson said.
Might be too late
As much as we hate to say it, Richarlison’s chance at Tottenham may have already been and gone.
The Brazilian has been too poor for too long, and Johnson deserves a chance to shine.
It’s clear that Ange Postecoglou is a big fan of the Welshman. After all, he started him in the north London derby a few weeks ago, and if it weren’t for injury, we’d have to imagine he’d have been playing every game since then too.
It’s hard to be too negative about anything Tottenham have done this season, but the sad reality is that Richarlison still isn’t living up to expectations.
Don’t be shocked if Ange Postecoglou makes this change sooner rather than later.
