Trent Alexander-Arnold is at a crossroads in his Liverpool career right now.
The full-back is entering the final year of his deal at Liverpool, and in a few months’ time, he’ll be able to speak to other clubs.
Of course, when a player as talented as Alexander-Arnold is potentially available, Europe’s elite are bound to sit up and take notice.
Trent Alexander-Arnold has previously been called a ‘world class’ player. Indeed, there are plenty of clubs across Europe that would absolutely love to sign Alexander-Arnold.
Real Madrid have been strongly linked with Alexander-Arnold as of late, and speaking on ESPN, Don Hutchison has been discussing this potential transfer and how likely a move is.

How likely is Trent Alexander-Arnold to join Real Madrid?
Hutchison spoke about Alexander-Arnold’s Liverpool future and how likely he is to head to the Bernabeu.
The pundit reluctantly admitted that this move was more likely to happen than not, stating that Dani Carvajal’s injury could force Real Madrid to enter the market for a new right-back.
Ultimately, Hutchison claimed that Alexander-Arnold has a 60% chance of joining Real Madrid.
“What’s the percentage chance Trent Alexander-Arnold goes to Real Madrid?” Hutchison was asked.
“Now that Carvajal has done his ACL that might rise. On a free, looking likely, I want to be wrong, but I’ll say 60%,” Hutchison said.
What is happening with Alexander-Arnold and Liverpool?
Trent Alexander-Arnold is continuously being linked with a move to Real Madrid, but a departure from Liverpool isn’t guaranteed.
Indeed, according to Fabrizio Romano, Alexander-Arnold’s contract talks with Liverpool still take priority.
“Trent Alexander-Arnold, since March we have mentioned the interest of Real Madrid,” Romano said.
“Trent Alexander-Arnold for sure is a player they really like, but we can’t mention any negotiation or discussions.
“Trent’s priority is Liverpool and he says he wants to win trophies. He keeps mentioning being very happy with Arne Slot and his contract negotiations being silent and not in the media, that was the message from Trent.
“What does this mean? It means Trent will have negotiations and will keep discussing with Liverpool their project, the idea they have, what they want at the club in the next years. It will also be about money, but the main focus is the project. The priority will be for Liverpool, Liverpool will have the chance to extend the contract of Trent.”
The right-back still absolutely loves Liverpool as a club, he’s a local lad who is in line to eventually become club captain, and while Real Madrid are hard to turn down, if Alexander-Arnold is presented with the right contract and the right project, he may well choose to stay at Anfield.
Alexander-Arnold’s contract situation is certainly one to keep an eye on in the coming months.
