Matt Upson has claimed that Arsenal star Leandro Trossard is the best finisher at the club right now.
The Belgian scored the opener today against Burnley and had a really good game. He has proved to be an incredible signing and rightly received a standing ovation from Arsenal fans when he was substituted in the second half.

Leandro Trossard is the best finisher at Arsenal
Arsenal signed Leandro Trossard from Brighton and Hove Albion this year for an initial fee of just £20 million, with a further £7 million agreed if certain add-ons are achieved (Sky Sports).
The 28-year-old wasn’t originally Mikel Arteta‘s first-choice target. The Gunners boss pushed really hard to sign Mykhaylo Mudryk and only turned to Trossard after the Ukrainian joined Chelsea.
Judging by what we’ve seen over the last 10 or so months, Arsenal dodged a bullet with Mudryk and signed a truly incredible player in Trossard.
Upson, who was on commentary duty for Premier League Productions today, hailed the Belgian and went as far as saying he’s the best finisher at the club – better than the likes of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus.
He said in the 82nd minute: “Trossard has made a great contribution, showing his versatility again. What a signing he has been from Brighton. I really do believe he has been a top signing for Arsenal, a really good finisher as well.”
Speaking about how Mudryk was the first-choice target, Upson said: “For me, they’ve got a better player for a lot less money.
“I think he’s possibly the best finisher at the club. Technically, when you have a look at his goals, left and right foot, in and around the edge of the box, he’s very accurate, very clinical.”

Trossard is excellent as Arsenal’s false nine
One of the main talking points about Arsenal this season is how they need to sign a new striker in the January transfer window.
That is definitely a fair suggestion, but when Arsenal don’t have Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah, Mikel Arteta usually turns to Trossard to play as a false nine, and the Belgian hardly ever disappoints.
The 28-year-old is fantastic in that role. He can drop deep to link play up, drift to either wing, and his close control in and around the box is absolutely phenomenal.
His finishing, as Upson said above, is brilliant as well, and it is hard to argue against him being the best finisher at the club right now.
