Frank Leboeuf has criticised one Tottenham Hotspur player for being so clumsy for much of their clash with Brighton on Saturday.
Ange Postecoglou‘s men once again made hard work for themselves. They were behind until the hour mark after conceding a penalty inside the first 17 minutes.
But Tottenham reminded everyone why you can never count them out. Brennan Johnson scored a 96th minute winner for Spurs to put them back inside the top-four in the Premier League.
Richarlison criticised after Tottenham secure dramatic win
For only the fourth time in the last 11 games, Richarlison was unable to find the back of the net for Tottenham. Richarlison has been outstanding of late, scoring twice against former club Everton last weekend.

But Saturday was not his day. And speaking on ESPN, Frank Leboeuf suggested that he was surprised by how poor the 26-year-old was when the crucial moments came.
“It wasn’t easy. The first 15 minutes, I tell you Brighton, they were all over Spurs and I didn’t see that coming. But Spurs reacted very well. They had some possibilities to score, but Richarlison was so clumsy on the last pass for example, on the assist,” he said.
Brazilian entitled to off day after amazing run
Thankfully for Tottenham, Richarlison did step up in stoppage-time. It was his pass in for Heung-min Son which led to the Spurs captain setting up Johnson for the winning goal.
Richarlison is definitely entitled to have an off-day in front of goal. He is not the striker who is going to score 25 goals a season. Instead, his tallies are often a little lower but offset by how hard he works for the team.
Tottenham now find themselves in an amazing position. Son made an immediate impact on his return. And Johnson staked a claim to keep his place by proving to be their hero against the Seagulls.
But dropping Richarlison seems impossible right now. So Ange Postecoglou definitely has plenty to ponder over the next few days.
