Unai Emery will still believe that his Aston Villa side can overturn a two-goal deficit against French champions Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday evening.
The late goal Nuno Mendes scored for PSG against Villa at the Parc des Princes was a bitter blow for Emery and his team, a one-goal deficit was obviously felt a lot more palatable.
However, Emery will believe that the Villa Park atmosphere can be a deciding factor, even against one of the Champions League’s strongest outfits.
Of course, when considering PSG’s strengths, it’s hard not to speak about Ousmane Dembele, the forward who has stepped up in the post Kylian Mbappe era.
And whilst Dembele didn’t score against Villa in the first leg, he does have 32 goals and 10 assists in 41 games this season.
Ousmane Dembele makes Aston Villa prediction
That being said, Dembele actually made some interesting comments about how both PSG and Villa will approach the game whilst speaking at the press conferences before the game.
First of all, Dembele stated that PSG were arriving in England to win — they are not just aiming to protect their two-goal lead.

And then the PSG star also predicted how Emery’s side will approach the game, one they obviously need to win by a strong margin.
Demebele said: “We haven’t come here to speculate. We’ve come here to win. We are not going to change the way we play.
“We are not going to try and defend and keep the score as it is. We are here to play our way and win.
“I think Villa are going to come and really press us. They are obliged to come at us and attack as much as they can.
“But as the coach has said, we are not here to speculate. We are here to play our way right until the end and do our job tomorrow.”
Luis Enrique says Aston Villa will make one key change
In addition to Dembele, PSG manager Luis Enrique also predicted how Villa would play, saying he expected the home side to get their defensive line a lot higher.
Enrique said: “We watched Villa play the best teams in England – City, Arsenal and Liverpool – and always think what scenarios are going to take place.
“I think tomorrow they will defend higher and if they are successful, they will win the ball back closer to our goal.”
Of course, it will be interesting to see who Emery chooses to lead his attack — Marcus Rashford or Ollie Watkins.
French media criticised Rashford somewhat after watching him in Paris, and perhaps Emery will turn to Wakins to make the difference once again.
