PSG fans react as Tottenham reportedly eye Angel Di Maria

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Angel Di Maria in a move that would see him return to England after an ill-fated spell with Manchester United – and PSG fans have reacted on Twitter.

Di Maria, 32, joined Manchester United in the summer of 2015 but played just 32 times before leaving. His spell at Old Trafford turned sour with the Argentine wanting out and United fans failing to take to him, despite four goals and 12 assists.

He has sinced earned legendary status at PSG, despite going under the radar with Kylian Mbappe and Neymar nabbing the headlines. He has scored 86 goals and created 102 more in 243 games – as well as boasting 102 Argentina caps.

French newspaper L’Equipe – as per The Sun – claim that Tottenham are keeping tabs on the veteran star’s situation with PSG desperate to keep him. Mauricio Pochettino’s side have tabled an offer, but Di Maria wants a two-year deal.

Tottenham have already shown they mean business under Jose Mourinho, bringing Gareth Bale back to the club as well as signing the likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Sergio Reguilon and Carlos Vinicius in the summer.

But Di Maria would be whole other level when it comes to big-name signings if the North London side could get Di Maria. PSG supporters have reacted on Twitter to the reports, and it is clear that they want “better than Bale” to stay.
