‘Promote him’, ‘Better than Xhaka’: Arsenal fans want Miguel Azeez in first-team after training pics emerge

Arsenal fans have been reacting on social media over the last 24 hours as pictures posted by the Arsenal development Twitter account showed Miguel Azeez in action.

Azeez, 18, is seen as one of the brightest prospects at The Emirates and has already been involved in first-team matters this season.

While being a regular for the under-23s, Azeez has made a solitary Europa League performance, while he’s also appeared three times in the EFL Trophy as he continues his development with the Gunners.

Arsenal released some training photos yesterday from their development squad, showing the likes of Azeez, Folarin Balogun, and others in action. And naturally, plenty of Gunners fans were on hand to have their say in the comments.

It seems some Gunners supporters want to see Azeez be given his chance, while others used the opportunity to also mention Balogun’s ongoing contract situation with the club.

Whether or not the 18-year-old midfielder gets his chance remains to be seen. But some Arsenal fans want him tied down and in the first-team pretty quickly, if some of the replies on Twitter are to go by.
