Reported Liverpool target Houssem Aouar could have many clubs after him, according to Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas (Telefoot).
As reported by RMC Sport earlier this month, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are one of the teams that remain active regarding a potential swoop.
According to ESPN, Manchester City and Chelsea are also eyeing the talented midfielder, who reportedly has a £45million price tag.

Aouar has been a star for the Ligue 1 side over the last three years, becoming one of the top young midfielders in Europe during his time with the French outfit.
Despite being just 21, Aouar has clocked up an impressive 133 senior appearances for Lyon, with 24 goals and 24 assists under his belt already.
In the season just gone, the France Under-21 ace made 37 appearances for Lyon, scoring nine goals and claiming seven assists.
“For the moment, we’ve not had any proposals or even a request for any information on him, but I know that many clubs could be interested in him,” Aulas told Telefoot, as transcribed by Goal.com.
“In any case, our preference is to keep him and we will do everything to achieve that. The second option is that it’s up to him where he wants to play. When players have left in the past, we’ve always favoured the place and the club where they wanted to go.”

Aside from his impressive stats, Aouar has also been spoken of very highly in footballing circles for a number of years now.
The France Under-21 international has been highly praised by Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola, who told Sky Sports in late 2018: “He is incredible.

“He is always calm with the ball at his feet with an excellent technical quality.”
Lyon are reportedly set to struggle financially after missing out on the Champions League, so their potential need to sell one of their key assets at a seemingly reduced price could be Liverpool’s gain.
That said, £45million might still be fairly steep for the Reds this summer unless they can recoup some money via player sales, while Man City and Chelsea could be tough opposition for Aouar’s services.
