It was yet another enthralling weekend in the Premier League, as Chelsea established an eight-point lead at the summit with a hard-fought win over Hull, whilst Arsenal’s late, late winner at home to Burnley ensured that they moved back into second place with the remainder of the top six all dropping points.

Saturday’s late kick-off saw Spurs fight back from a two-goal deficit to earn a point in an enthralling game against Manchester City at the Etihad, before a stoppage-time free-kick from Wayne Rooney salvaged a point for Manchester United at Stoke, and ensured the England skipper became the Red Devils’ all-time leading goalscorer, with his 250th in the Premier League.

Another big result at the weekend came at Anfield, where Swansea tore up the form book with a sensational win at Liverpool to earn Paul Clement his first win in charge. The hosts’ neighbours Everton fared much better, however, striking late to take all three points at Crystal Palace.

West Ham continued their post-Payet saga renaissance to win at Middlesbrough and West Brom eased to a home win over struggling Sunderland. Bournemouth and Watford shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw at the Vitality, whilst Leicester’s away day blues continued after they slumped to a 3-0 defeat at Southampton.

But in a weekend wrought with late drama, who really made the difference for their teams to make it into The Boot Room’s Team of the Week selection?
