Centre-Forward: Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur)
Harry Kane’s return to form has been vital to Tottenham’s impressive winning run of late, and his latest double against Watford to follow on from his brace at Southampton puts him on 59 goals in 100 Premier League games, the same number as Thierry Henry had scored at this stage of the season for Arsenal at the beginning of his enigmatic Premier League career.
The England international looks back to his potent best again since his dismal showing at the European Championships, and he will undoubtedly be a central figure if Spurs are to finish in the top four. They moved back into the Champions League places after this weekend, but with Mauricio Pochettino still harbouring hopes of the title, Kane and co might not be done just yet.
Centre-Forward: Andre Gray (Burnley)
It has been some year for Burnley. Back into the top flight at the first attempt and looking like a team ready to take on the survival challenge at last under Sean Dyche, the Clarets are a team of remarkable durability and have a wealth of options going forward with Sam Vokes, Ashley Barnes and Andre Gray all playing well. Gray was the focal point against Sunderland however, seemingly unplayable at times as he became the first player for the Lancashire club to score a Premier League hat-trick.
Controversy has plagued the striker since questionable remarks from four years ago were unveiled from his Twitter account, but he has seemingly put the FA’s sanctions firmly behind him and propelled himself back into the reckoning to be the man to keep Sean Dyche’s Burnley in the Premier League. How glad he and those supporters will be to see him back, and in such a mood.
