Premier League: Team of the Week XVI feat. Tottenham and West Brom stars

It was a swift changeover in the Premier League this week for Match-Day 16, as the football action was back for a full midweek programme to follow-up the goal fest we were treated to over the weekend. And it certainly didn’t disappoint.

After their superb win over Manchester City, Leicester were sent crashing down to earth after falling to defeat at Bournemouth, whilst Everton picked up a first win in six after coming from behind to beat Arsenal at Goodison, condemning the Gunners to their first defeat since August.

Chelsea remain top after Cesc Fabregas’ late strike proved enough to beat Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, whilst Liverpool go second after returning to winning ways at Middlesbrough. There were also wins for West Bromwich Albion, West Ham, Manchester United and Manchester City, whilst Tottenham kept in touch with the top four with an emphatic 3-0 win over Hull City at White Hart Lane.

Celtic fans left short-changed by Sky Sports once again

The only draw from the midweek fixtures came at the Bet365 Stadium, where Stoke City played out a dour goal-less encounter with Southampton.

But who stood out the most to make it into The Boot Room’s first midweek Team of the Week?
