Premier League: Team of the Week XIV
It was a pulsating Match-Day 14 of Premier League football as we approach December, and in the weekend’s early kick-off it was the Chelsea machine that kept on rolling, Antonio Conte’s side once more proving themselves as title contenders with a superb comeback victory over Manchester City at the Etihad.
Arsenal oozed class once again as they dismantled West Ham United at London Stadium, and in one of the game’s of the weekend Bournemouth came from 3-1 down with 15 minutes remaining to shock Liverpool in a 4-3 epic.
Tottenham kept in touch with the top four with a comprehensive victory over Swansea, and Sunderland eased their relegation worries with a 2-1 win at home to struggling defending champions Leicester City. Crystal Palace recovered from last week’s capitulation at Swansea with an impressive 3-0 win over Southampton, whilst Stoke and West Brom also won.
For Manchester United, their inability to see out matches returned once more to haunt José Mourinho, as substitute Marouane Fellaini’s clumsy foul late on gifted Everton a spot-kick equaliser to ensure proceedings at Goodison Park ended at a 1-1 stalemate.
But who stood out in the best of the weekend’s action to make our Team of the Week this time round?
