Premier League: Team of the Week XI feat. Liverpool and Chelsea stars

Liverpool were the weekend’s biggest winners in an enthralling Matchday XI, as they moved to the top of the Premier League for the first time ever under Jurgen Klopp with an emphatic 6-1 win over Watford on Super Sunday, whilst earlier on the first North London Derby of the season ended all square with a 1-1 scoreline at the Emirates Stadium.

Manchester United eased the pressure on José Mourinho after returning to winning ways at Swansea, whilst West Brom condemned champions Leicester to their first home defeat in the league since September 2015, and Hull City claimed a crucial victory against Southampton to earn Mike Phelan his first win as permanent boss.

Chelsea were the pick of the bunch in Saturday’s games with their 5-0 win over a shell-shocked Everton, Sunderland finally registered their first win of the season and their first under David Moyes in the league at Bournemouth, whilst Manchester City were astonishingly held by Middlesbrough at the Etihad, Burnley saw off Crystal Palace at Turf Moor, and West Ham’s match with Stoke ended at a stalemate.
