Premier League: Team of the Week X
It was an explosive Matchday X in the Premier League, and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City returned to winning ways in emphatic style at West Brom to remain top of the table, but the race is really starting to heat up, with three clubs now tied at the top on 23 points each.
The two who are breathing down the necks of City, Arsenal and Liverpool, both picked up wins; the Gunners exerting their authority on Wearside in a 4-1 victory at Sunderland, whilst Liverpool overcame Crystal Palace in a dynamite encounter at Selhurst Park. Within touching distance also are Antonio Conte’s Chelsea, who showed their quality in a 2-0 win over Southampton at St. Mary’s.
Everton got back to winning ways against West Ham to end a run of four games without victory, Middlesbrough achieved a much needed win over Bournemouth, a late own-goal meant Watford saw off Hull, whilst Manchester United stuttered at Old Trafford as they were held by a dogged and determined Burnley. Tottenham meanwhile are now fifth, after their home draw with Leicester City, who achieved their first league point on the road this season.
But who stood out the most to make The Boot Room’s latest pick for Team of the Week?
