Free Role Forward: Sadio Mané (Liverpool)

It was a big win for Liverpool over the weekend which propelled them into the title race according to manager Jurgen Klopp, and Senegalese forward Sadio Mané, the summer signing from Southampton, was a shining star once again. He netted Liverpool’s first in style, and was a constant menace with his incisive runs in behind and his link-up play with teammates. Already he is looking like a key acquisition for the Reds, and if the Merseysiders are to challenge for the title this season, Mané is sure to be an important player in their quest.

Centre-Forward: Shinji Okazaki (Leicester City)
Japanese international Shinji Okazaki put in a solid shift against a below par Crystal Palace, and as well as helping get Leicester back to winning ways, he contributed in adding to their imperious home record. His strike against Palace was his first league goal since March, when he got the winner against Newcastle.

Okazaki started in place of Jamie Vardy, who was rested with the Foxes’ Champions League trip to Copenhagen in mind, and it was his energetic performance, work rate and hold up play which provided Leicester with an outlet to get forward. Leicester needed a big performance today, and Okazaki and his teammates delivered.
