As the attention turns back to Premier League action over the weekend, there are plenty of big games ahead.
Whether it’s Manchester United’s clash away at Brentford or Arsenal’s trip to Newcastle, there are some important points up for grabs.
While many would like to focus on the quality of the players, each team may need a slice of luck from the match officials, too.
The Premier League have selected the referees, assistants and VAR operators ahead of the weekend’s action.
So with that said, here’s a look at those who have been chosen.

Brentford vs Manchester United referee, officials, VAR and record
Kicking off the weekend in the Premier League will be Brentford playing host to Manchester United in a big clash for both sides as they look to build some momentum.
Craig Pawson will be in charge of the encounter, which will be his fourth in the Premier League this season and the fifth across all competitions.
In those four matches, the referee has handed out nine yellow cards, one straight red card and one penalty.
It will be Pawson’s 40th match in charge of Manchester United, who have a win percentage just above 50% while he is in charge, while it will be just the ninth time he has officiated Brentford.
He will be joined by Lee Betts and Mat Wilkes as his assistants, with Ben Toner as the fourth official.
Andy Madley is the VAR, while Nick Hopton will be the assistant.
Chelsea vs Brighton referee and VAR picks
The Premier League have announced that Simon Hooper will be in charge of Chelsea’s match against Brighton on Saturday.
The 43-year-old has overseen four league matches so far this season, including some big clashes between Arsenal, Manchester United, Newcastle and Liverpool.
Hooper has shown plenty of cards, awarding 22 yellows and one red so far.
Brighton are his most officiated team with 38 games, in which they have won 15 of them, while he has taken charge of just ten Chelsea games, with six wins for them.
Joining Hooper are his assistants, Adrian Holmes and Simon Long, while Ruebyn Ricardo will be the fourth official.
Darren England has been appointed as the VAR, along with Gary Beswick assisting him.
Referee and VAR for Crystal Palace vs Liverpool
Crystal Palace will be looking to continue their unbeaten run, but face a team with a perfect record in Liverpool.
For that match, Chris Kavanagh has been put in charge of his tenth match of the season across all competitions.
The referee was actually in charge of the Community Shield final between Liverpool and Crystal Palace earlier this season, with the latter running out victorious.
In nine games so far, he has awarded 32 yellow cards and four penalties.
The 40-year-old has been in charge of 25 Liverpool games in his career, while he has overseen 11 Crystal Palace matches.
Dan Cook and Adam Nunn will be joining him by running the line as his assistants, with Sam Allison placed as the fourth official.
Matt Donohue will be the VAR at Stockley Park, joined by Constantine Hatzidakis.

Leeds vs Bournemouth referee, VAR and record
Michael Oliver will be taking charge of Leeds vs Bournemouth to continue his streak of refereeing in every Premier League weekend so far this season.
Across the Premier League matches so far, he has awarded ten yellow cards, one red card and one penalty.
Oliver has overseen 16 Leeds games and 15 Bournemouth games in his career, with both picking up five wins respectively.
Stuart Burt and James Mainwaring are his assistants on the day, joined by Jarred Gillett as the fourth official.
VAR will be operated by Tim Wood and his assistant, Wade Smith.
Referee and VAR picks for Man City vs Burnley
Manchester City are back at home and face off against Burnley in another big clash, overseen by Rob Jones.
The referee has officiated in the Premier League, EFL, Champions League and international competition so far this season.
In those seven games, he has awarded 23 yellow cards and two penalty kicks.
Jones has been in charge of 11 Man City games so far in his career, with nine of those being wins, while he has refereed four Burnley matches with just the one win.
Neil Davies and Nick Greenhalgh will be his assistants, with Anthony Taylor appointed as the fourth official.

This weekend marks the first meeting between Nottingham Forest and Sunderland in eight years, with Tony Harrington in charge of that match.

Tottenham and Wolves round off the Saturday action, with Michael Salisbury in charge of that one.

He has overseen seven Wolves matches so far, with three wins, and four Tottenham clashes, with two wins.
Marc Perry and Steve Meredith are his assistants, as well as David Webb, who is the fourth official.

Aston Villa vs Fulham referee, assistants and VAR
Aston Villa and Fulham will be kicking off the action on Sunday, as both look to pick up some important points.
The Premier League have appointed Andy Madley as the main match official for that encounter, his fourth of the season and his first in the Premier League for the campaign.
He has given six yellow cards in three matches, with one red card and one penalty kick.
Aston Villa will become the joint-most officiated club for Madley, with 24 matches done so far and 11 wins in that time, while he has been in charge of 17 Fulham fixtures.
Tom Bramall is the fourth official, joined by his assistants Nick Hopton and Craig Taylor.

The big match on Sunday will see Newcastle play host to Arsenal.
Jarred Gillett will play a huge role as the referee, having overseen three Premier League matches so far this season.
There have been six yellow cards, one red card and one penalty in matches involving the Australian official so far this season.
The 38-year-old has been in charge of ten Arsenal matches, with seven wins, and 13 Newcastle clashes, with seven wins too.
Ian Hussin and Scott Ledger are the assistants, joined by the fourth official, Anthony Taylor.

Rounding off the weekend of action is Everton vs West Ham on Monday night.
Sam Barrott will be the referee in charge of that one, his sixth match of the season.

Barrott has been in charge of six Aston Villa matches in his career, with two wins, and four Everton matches, with just one win.
