Premier League post incorrect detail about Liverpool after 2-2 Everton draw

The Premier League have just posted an inaccurate detail about Liverpool and Arne Slot.

After a chaotic end to the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park, the Reds find themselves in hot water with the Football Association – with several acts of ill discipline on show.

Firstly, Curtis Jones received a red card after brawling with Abdoulaye Doucoure – who was also dismissed by Michael Oliver – due to the Frenchman opting to celebrate in front of Liverpool fans.

Arne Slot then saw red too after approaching Oliver – allegedly due to his use of offensive language – which the Premier League claimed would land the Dutchman a touchline ban of two games on their official website.

Now – however – that has been proven incorrect.

Arne Slot yet to learn his fate after red card in Everton 2-2 Liverpool

As Lewis Steele of the Daily Mail posted on X (previously known as Twitter) the Liverpool boss will be on the touchline at Anfield this Sunday when Wolves come to visit – as things stand.

The reliable journalist wrote: “Bit technical this but, as it stands, Arne Slot is not banned from the touchline for Wolves game.

“FA will review refs’ report today and decide whether to charge him or not. Depends on whether they deem it a ‘standard case’ with a set sanction or ‘non standard’ which results in a hearing. Because he has already served a touchline ban this season there is a chance it will be the latter. If so, very unlikely it is resolved before Sunday. So to conclude, he could be in the dugout against Wolves and then be charged/banned/fined at a later date.

“PL website saying he was banned for two games was an error.”

Liverpool are also likely to be charged by the FA for failing to control their players at Goodison Park.

The games Arne Slot could end up missing if Premier League allow involvement for Wolves clash

Liverpool fans would probably prefer Slot to miss the Premier League clash against Wolves on Sunday – considering the fixtures that come afterwards.

As you can see, the Reds face trips to Aston Villa and Manchester City within the space of four days next week – two tricky tests in which fans would presumably like to have the Dutchman present on the touchline for.
