It’s full focus on the Champions League on Wednesday night for Arsenal as they travel to take on Porto in the Champions League.

A positive first leg result will be in mind for Mikel Arteta, who will be confident of a result in the second leg back in North London.

Arteta has taken a number of young players to Portugal as part of the Arsenal squad, including Ethan Nwaneri.

Ayden Heaven is also part of the squad but but he may soon receive offers to leave Arsenal…

The London Evening Standard now claim that Heaven is actually attracting major interest.

It’s suggested that a number of Premier League clubs are now interested in luring Heaven away from Arsenal.

Convincing Heaven to leave the club won’t be easy though.

Heaven was a huge Arsenal fan as a kid and seemingly dreamed of playing for the Gunners.

After spells with West Ham United and Chelsea, Heaven finally joined Arsenal at the age of 12 and has been coming up through the ranks ever since.

Heaven has now trained around the first team and could be on the bench against Porto this evening having caught Arteta’s eye.

The 17-year-old emerged as a midfielder in the Arsenal ranks but he has been operating in different roles this season.

Arsenal are trying to train Heaven up as a centre back, which is where he has played in the Under-18 Premier League this season, or even as a left back.

Including him in the trip to Porto suggests that Arsenal do think highly of Heaven and the Gunners will hope that these opportunities around the first team will be enough to convince him to stay.
