Premier League clubs interested in Arsenal starlet Ballard - journalist
Charles Watts has told his YouTube channel that he believes that Premier League clubs are interested in signing Daniel Ballard, with Arsenal open to offers for the defender this summer.
It is probably not a surprise to see the Gunners consider bids for Ballard in this window. The 22-year-old has spent the last couple of years out on loan.
He was ‘outstanding‘ in League One with Blackpool, and then at a step higher with Millwall. But obviously, it is a considerable step up to be ready to feature for Mikel Arteta’s side.
Arsenal also have William Saliba to welcome back into the fold this year. So Ballard would be in danger of being lost in the shuffle should he stay at the Emirates beyond this summer.
Reports have previously claimed that Arsenal are open to selling the Northern Ireland international. And Watts has suggested that there is Premier League interest in the defender.
“Daniel Ballard, he’s a player who I’ve reported already this summer that Arsenal are willing to accept offers for. Lots of interest in him from teams in the Championship, lower end of the Premier League I believe as well, and from abroad. Arsenal are not going to stand in his way if a good offer comes in for him,” he told his YouTube channel.

Unfortunately, Ballard is going to struggle to prove himself at Arsenal. So it may be a good time to cash in. His stock is currently high. And he is attracting plenty of attention.
However, the Premier League interest raises a question regarding whether Arsenal would be better loaning him out again.
Should he impress in the top-flight, Arsenal may opt to keep him. Or they could probably demand a much higher fee in 12 months.
